Introduction

Emaar Properties PJSC is a Dubai-based global property and construction company. Property Development UAE, Property Development International, Malls and Retail, and Hotels Resorts and Hospitality are the divisions that run the business. Emaar Properties is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and was established on June 23, 1997.

Emaar has been shaping scenes in the UAE since its founding. The company has a track record of respect, as well as an ace network that caters to a wide variety of life requirements. Downtown Dubai, the 500-section of land mega adventure, home of Burj Khalifa - the world’s tallest tower, including the world’s first Armani Hotel Dubai and the world’s most advanced cafe, is a part of the building’s Emaar Properties way of coping with life’s goals. The atmosphere; Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination; and the Dubai Fountain, which is set in a 30-section of Bhumi Lake and is the world’s highest- performing wellness destination. Properties PJSC, a Dubai-based public joint-stock firm that is listed on the Dubai Financial Market, is a global property designer and leading lifestyle provider. (Companies 2020) Emaar is expanding its expertise to create S-arranged networks globally, and today, has a large presence in some key regions worldwide with activities prevailing in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, India. Pakistan, Turkey, the USA, and Canada.

As it seeks to effectively expand into the central business of its fictional, excellent land advancement, Emaar has set itself apart in the relevant business line to encourage its investors, including the Dubai government. Emaar’s busy growth and growth methodology are strongly seen as a way to embrace the global focal point of the audience as a global and expanded business group (Companies, 2020).

Vision To be active partners of economic welfare in the market it operates in.

Mission To create high value in real estate for its customers, and contribute to creating new jobs, support local talents and share global competence on projects.

Organizational Structure

Figure 75: Organizational Chart Of Emaar The company follows a simple hierarchy, having three departments namely: development, joint ventures, and sales. In the organizational chart, it can be seen that the CEO oversees all the operations, and owner Mohamed Ali Alabbar serves as managing director.

Alabbar founded the company in 1997 and has been its chairman since its inception. Today, Emaar is one of the greatest architect companies in the world.

“From now on, we will make a commitment to focus on sustainable development and growth. We will invest in developing the skills and competencies of those who have helped us achieve our previous successes and who will be part of our future development journey,” Alabbar added via email.

It was not immediately clear if removing the title meant a change in the payer class of Emaar employees.

The coronavirus epidemic has caused a global economic downturn, with some experts predicting a dramatic decline in nearly a century. In April, Alabbar informed staff that Emaar would reduce wages to continue ahead of COVID-19. When all the employees were reduced by 15-50%, Alabbar decided to reduce full pay.

Earlier, Alabbar had advised traders in the UAE that now is the time to “be brave” with the world shutting down.

“Now is the time to be courageous. Of course, we are all cautious, but now we should not be afraid to take action in this new environment. This is the time to accelerate many programs, including our digital plans, customer knowledge, integrity, efficiency and business diversity,” said Alabbar at the time.

Services Description Aimed Covid Emaar said the “strong financial performance” is due to the sale of goods and constant construction during the epidemic. Emaar added that an 8.06bn (AED 29.4bn) sales backlog was found.

In addition to the challenges presented by COVID-19, Emaar has promised to remain committed to its project delivery days and to transfer approximately one billion residential properties in the first half of 2020.

Commenting on his financial affairs, Alabbar said that despite the challenging market conditions, his strategic approach “draws him to move forward year after year.”

12

Business Strategies

Emaar’s business strategies include

¡ Create value through integrated master planned communities ¡ To increase out land reserves in strategic locations ¡ Adopting international benchmarking and follow best practices in development and customer service ¡ Capitalize on strategic alliances with domain leaders ¡ Invest in human capital and recognition as an employer of choice Figure 76: Strategy factors @ Emaar Properties

14

Marketing Strategy

Emaar has recently launched an app that will be used on smartphones and tablets. Its customers and potential customers can navigate the app to find out the details of financial planning for properties fees or housing rates and the various assets they are looking for. For this reason, the company does not need to rely on brochures and other traditional marketing channels to reach potential customers.

In order for as many people as possible to work with the app on their phone, you are promoting the Emaar app on all the various online and and regular channels. As a result, Emaar is also able to gather customer intelligence about demand and interest in its facilities, informing other marketing strategies.

Emaar has played a major role in industry-related exhibitions around the world, especially in Dubai. It also sponsors other events to strengthen its position as a leading player in the Dubai real estate market. The company should continue to be a major user of trade shows and exhibitions to reach immigrants, business leaders, luxury clients, and other potential customers and visitors living in the UAE. (Emaar-properties- international-marketing, 2020) Current Business Challenges The Dubai-based Emaar Malls, a retail unit with a majority of Emaar Properties, will post a net profit of $5 million in the first six months of the year, down 100% from the same period last year (8,308 million), fighting the economic effects of the global COVID-19 epidemic as a company.

Revenue fell 30%, from 45 to $451 million in the first half of 2020 and from 60 to $606 million in the same period last year.

¡ Maintaining consumer reputation ¡ Gaining customer confidence and loyalty ¡ The COVID-19 pandemic recession ¡ Lack of product variety

16

How to Overcome Challenges

Profits from some of the company’s corporate divisions can be used to fund a real estate sector growth scheme.

The company should seek out new donors from various backgrounds in order to collect ample funds to carry out its expansion campaign successfully. To raise future buyer interest, managers should concentrate on promoting the company through digital and print media. Managers should also think about enlisting outside help to boost the profile of the current business growth strategy.

(Global data , 2020) Successful Business Practices

Different organizational skills include

¡ Ability to do signage projects in various global markets ¡ Has the potential to invest in various business projects ¡ The reputation of a major product within domestic and international markets.

Figure 77: Customer satisfaction graph (Arabianbusiness, 2018)

18

Failed Practices

¡ Price One of the key competitive issues that the company must solve is the lack of market fluctuations. The price war in the real estate sector is being fueled by the rise in competitors in the domestic market.

¡ Staff retention and satisfaction Inadequate company culture affects employer-employer relationships. Ignorance of the low-wage strategy disrupts employee performance. This strategic problem affects employee motivation, honesty, and job satisfaction.

¡ Separation of building services Although the organization has divided its line of business with regard to health care and financial services, it has no distinction in its architecture. The organization’s real estate service is limited to the retail, commercial, and entertainment industry.

¡ Quality assurance and product configuration The process of evaluating the poor quality of an organization also undermines the reputation of the business in the market. The lack of suspension of its products and the quality of service creates dissatisfaction among potential customers.

Company as of Today In the Dubai region, the company expanded its sector as a financial service provider. The company also established commercial relationships in the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Asia. The company earned AED 7.56 billion (approximately $3 billion) in sales by the end of

  • Emaar Properties generates about 89% of its sales

from the UAE domestic sector, with the remaining 11% coming from foreign business growth.

19

Recommendations

The debate on the concerns and challenges of Emaar Properties has highlighted the many strategic issues of the organization. Many strategies have been recommended for organizational management to influence long-term performance.

17

Lessons Learned

I took in the accompanying lessons

¡ That an organization can endure and be productive in any market paying little heed to its size.

¡ Understanding the market and clients are significant and basic toward progress.

¡ If an organization needs to, it can without much of a stretch change its general concentration to take into account a bigger underserved client base.

20

Conclusion

Overall, it can be very well expressed that Emaar is a very fruitful organization that needs to reliably improve its general concentration in brand mindfulness. So far, the COVID-19 epidemic has had a significant impact on the organization, and is something that has shown it a variety of important exercises. By increasingly zeroing in on a wide variety of customers, both inside and outside the UAE, the organization will have the option of creating a niche market for itself along these lines, pushing the housing business sector towards more current idols. Also, by increasingly zeroing in on advanced performance technologies, the organization will have the option to more easily set itself up as a pioneer until speculation and purchase of land within the UAE. After all, it can be very well expressed that the land area of the country is one that offers organizations, for example, the opening of unlimited development Projects.
