What you are actually buying
Every Check is 80%. The Board Examination is 80%, closed-book, and a failure resets in full after 24 hours. A threshold you could not fail would be worth nothing to you.
Several certifications are built against an external body of knowledge and say which one. Alignment is a statement about curriculum. It is not accreditation, and it is not presented as any.
Each certificate has a number. Anyone can check it at nlagroup.org/verify — no login, no request to us, no waiting.
Each certification is bought and completed on its own. There is no bundle you have to take to reach the one you came for.
How it works
From enrolment to designation
- 1Enrol in a certification
One discipline. Eight Competencies, each broken into Elements you read at your own pace.
- 2Evidence each Competency
A Competency Check at 80% closes each one. Progress reads "4 of 8 competencies evidenced".
- 3Sit the Board Examination
Closed-book, 80% to pass, drawn from the whole certification rather than the last thing you read.
- 4Hold the designation
Post-nominal letters, a Certificate of Designation, and a registry entry anyone can look up.

What you hold at the end
Designation
A Certificate of Designation issued by NLA Academy with post-nominal letters and a verifiable registry number. It is a professional certification, not an academic degree, and NLA Academy is not accredited by any external certifying body — both are printed on the certificate.
